The State of the Industry & A New Product Offering
Dear East Lake Metals Current and Future Customers,
What a wild ride it has been for the last few months! We are debating which is harder to deal with… the steadily rising, record-high metal prices or the lack of available units? Not to mention other disruptions we are encountering with trucking, international shipping, pallets, film, etc.
We appreciate every opportunity to work with you to get projects bid, shipped and completed. The outlook on metal is unfortunately still tight for the foreseeable future. Mill delivery costs for steel continue to rise for both domestic and foreign metal purchases. Most domestic aluminum mills have had severe production cutbacks, which drives foreign mills to full bookings.
Considering the circumstances, we are pleased that East Lake Metals has been able to continue to build and grow. Forward-thinking has been a key to our success…determining which products we can readily procure and assuring that they are better than what our competition is offering.
